Another year is upon us, so that can only mean one thing - new flagship models for the Galaxy S series.

As expected, the Samsung Galaxy S23 has just been announced by the South Korean conglomerate, introducing incremental but noticeable improvements from the Galaxy S22.

The Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+ and Galaxy S23 Ultra deliver a range of improvements and new features, including brighter AMOLED 2X displays, larger batteries and refined image processing.

In addition, one of the major changes is the switch to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip for all models. We previously reported on battery and performance issues with last year’s model, with a lot of controversy surrounding the release. With the introduction of Qualcomm latest technology, Samsung claim to have resolved many of these problems.

However, with the ongoing cost of living crisis in the UK, the new Galaxy S23 doesn’t come cheap for many.

Thankfully, Samsung are offering a range of pre-order incentives, as well as many offers from UK networks.

Samsung and most networks are offering trade-in deals for your existing phone, allowing you to pre-order the Galaxy S23 at a major discount.

In addition, if you pre-order any entry level Galaxy S23, you’ll get double the storage at no additional cost:

Although now the same company, Virgin Media pre-order offers for the Galaxy S23 are quite different compared to O2.

Virgin Media are offering data rollover for all S23 pre-orders, meaning any unused data will be transferred to the next month.

You can also get double the storage with the entry variant with all Galaxy S23 models, including the S23, S23+ and S23 Ultra.

In addition, you get free EU roaming and you can also access over 3.5 million free Wi-Fi hotspots around the UK.

Upfront cost starts at zero with all S23 models, for 24 and 36 month contracts.

Furthermore, Virgin Media phone deals come as separate contracts - one for the device, and one for the plan (also known as tariff). The plan is a 30-day rolling contract, meaning you can change it whenever you like.

Vodafone

Vodafone are currently offering Battery Refresh with all Galaxy S23 pre-orders. If your battery is running on low health, Vodafone will replace it free of charge.

In addition, you’ll get Total Care Warranty , which protects you from any manufacturer faults for 2 years. Vodafone will repair your phone at no additional charge if it breaks down.

Furthermore, Vodafone are currently the only network to offer a buy back guarantee for S23 pre-orders. You can swap your S23 within one year, and get £310 (S23), £325 (S23+) or £450 (S23 Ultra) towards a new phone swap.

In a similar vein, you can get a total of £648 when you trade in an eligible device towards your S23 pre-order - up to £504 for your existing phones towards the cost of the S23, and an additional £144 towards a 24 month airtime plan.
