Samsung have started rolling out the April 2022 security update for Snapdragon models of the Galaxy S22, following an update last week for Exynos models of the flagship phone.

The update is rolling out worldwide as firmware version S90xEXXU1AVCJ, for the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra.

With the new update, Samsung claims the overall stability of the device has improved, with the latest 1st April 2022 security update for Android 12. The changelog also mentions performance improvements and various bug fixes, but doesn’t disclose exact specifics.

The security update also patches a number of preloaded Samsung apps, such as Samsung Pay, Samsung Internet and Samsung Health.

Samsung Galaxy S22 owners should receive a notification to perform the over the air update in the coming days. If you don't want to wait, you can force the update via Settings -> Software Update.
