By Adrian Vincent - 14 Feb 2024, 19:26 Revolut launches eSIM data plans for 100+ countries

Revolut customers can now get easy access to roaming eSIM data plans, available in over 100 international destinations.

1GLOBAL, a UK company founded in 2022 that specialises in eSIMs, will provide the service. Revolut customers can purchase eSIMs via the Revolut app, which will be automatically deducted from their available balance.

Pricing varies depending on location, starting at £2 per 1GB, with data plans ranging from 1GB to 20GB. Plans can be purchased for individual countries or regions, such as Europe.

As an introductory offer, Revolut customers can get access to 100MB data for free in all available destinations, which is valid until 1st May 2024.

Revolut customers who have an Ultra plan will get access to 3GB data per month, which can be used in any available destination. The Revolut Ultra plan currently costs £540 per year, or £45 per month, and includes a range of other additional benefits, such as access to airport lounges worldwide.

eSIMs can only be downloaded and used on devices that they were purchased on. However, you can purchase eSIMs for multiple devices, up to a maximum of 15 active eSIMs across all devices.

Due to strict regulations in some countries, eSIMs only include a data allowance, without a phone number for voice calls or texts. However, you will still be able to use your existing SIMs card for calling and texting.
