The upcoming Apple iPhone 14 Pro and Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max will have larger camera bumps and thicker bodies, according to newly leaked schematics.

We’ve previously heard rumours that the iPhone 14 will altogether. However, as the September release date approaches, the influx of new leaks show that isn’t the case at all. In fact, the complete opposite is true.

Compared to the iPhone 13, the new schematics show the depth of the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will increase from 7.7mm to 7.85mm, with the camera bump increasing from 3.65mm to 4.17mm.

According to Ming-Chi Kuo, a reputable Apple analyst, the increased thickness is due to the larger wide camera, which will be upgraded from 12 MP to 48 MP. The diagonal width of the lens will increase by 25-35%, and the height will increase by 5-10%.

Furthermore, the new schematics confirm the Pro models will finally drop the notch, in favour of a pill shaped cutout. It’s likely the regular Apple iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max will keep the notch for at least another year.
