Talkmobile roaming explained for international & EU countries

Talkmobile allows you to roam and use your allowance for free within 44 European destinations.

If you joined before 14 March 2023, and you haven't upgraded or renewed since, there is a 15GB fair usage policy for roaming within the EU.

However, if you joined or upgraded on or after 14 March 2023, there will be a reduced limit of 5GB per month.

If you go over the fair usage policy, you must purchase a Euro Holiday Booster, starting from £2.25 per day for 15GB data.

You can also roam in countries outside of Europe, however you won’t be able to use your regular allowance. Instead, you will be charged at an out of plan rate for the services you use.

Worldwide destinations are grouped into different zones, which determine the amount you will have to pay when roaming internationally.

Talkmobile EU roaming - after Brexit

Talkmobile will continue free EU roaming after Brexit, allowing you to use your regular allowance as if you were at home.

However, in accordance with the fair usage policy, there are limits on the amount of data you can use.

Talkmobile roaming fair usage policy

Although you can use your allowance for free within the EU, you must adhere to the fair usage policy.

You cannot roam for excessive periods within the EU. This is defined as 61 days or more within a 120 day period. If you exceed this amount, you will be sent a warning email or text. If you continue to roam 14 days after receiving a warning, Talkmobile will charge you £7 per week as long as you are considered to be living outside the UK.

In accordance with the terms and conditions, Talkmobile reserves the right to limit your service or disconnect your SIM if you continue to break the fair usage policy.

If addition, there are limits on the amount of data you can use when roaming in the EU, depending when you joined or upgraded with Talkmobile.

Can I roam outside the EU with Talkmobile?

You can roam in most worldwide destinations with Talkmobile. You won’t be able to use your regular allowance - instead, you will be charged at an out of plan rate.

The amount you are charged depends on the zone you are visiting.
